IRC offer the calibration of instrumentation for measuring electrical, high voltage, temperature, humidity, pressure, torque, dimensional metrology and mass. All calibrations are traceable to National Standards and are in accordance with procedures laid down in BS EN ISO/IEC17025:2017. This standard is the most important thing when getting calibration.

How our Calibration service works
We calibrate instruments with results traceable to national standards. On receipt, each instrument is checked in, visually inspected, and verified against the agreed ranges using reference standards. Where adjustments are possible, our technicians bring readings back within specification, then re-verify to confirm stability.

Every completed job includes a calibration certificate that lists the instrument details, applied standards, environmental conditions, test points, results, and any adjustments. Do you calibrate Megger and insulation resistance testers?
Yes. We calibrate Megger and other insulation resistance testers to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 procedures with results traceable to national standards. We can advise suitable test ranges.
Are your calibrations UKAS accredited or traceable only?
We offer UKAS accredited calibration where listed on our UKAS schedule, and traceable calibration for instruments outside scope. Ask our team which route fits your instrument.
Can you calibrate PAT testers?
Yes. We calibrate portable appliance testers and can schedule regular rotations so your testers stay compliant throughout the year.
How often should I calibrate a torque wrench?
Typical intervals are six to twelve months, depending on usage and risk. We provide torque wrench calibration, torque screwdriver calibration, and related tools.
Do you calibrate thermometers and data loggers?
Yes. We cover contact probes, infrared thermometers, PT100 sensors, and data loggers, and we record environmental conditions on your certificate.
Can you calibrate pressure gauges and vacuum gauges?
Yes. We cover manometers, hydraulic and gas pressure gauges, and digital pressure calibrators across defined ranges.
Do you provide calibration for scales or calibration weights?
